The Psalm on my heart... 25

To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
in you I trust, O my God.
Do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one whose hope is in you
will ever be put to shame,
but they will be put to shame
who are treacherous without excuse.
Show me your ways, O LORD,
teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you are good, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way.
All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful
for those who keep the demands of his covenant.
For the sake of your name, O LORD,
forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD ?
He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.
He will spend his days in prosperity,
and his descendants will inherit the land.
The LORD confides in those who fear him;
he makes his covenant known to them.
My eyes are ever on the LORD,
for only he will release my feet from the snare.
Turn to me and be gracious to me,
for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart have multiplied;
free me from my anguish.
Look upon my affliction and my distress
and take away all my sins.
See how my enemies have increased
and how fiercely they hate me!
Guard my life and rescue me;
let me not be put to shame,
for I take refuge in you.
May integrity and uprightness protect me,
because my hope is in you.
Redeem Israel, O God,
from all their troubles!

something to look forward to...

Isaiah 35

Joy of the
Redeemed

The desert and the parched land
will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and
blossom.
Like the crocus, it will
burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout
for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given
to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the
LORD,
the splendor of our God.
Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts,
"Be strong, do not
fear;
your God will
come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you."
Then will the eyes of the blind be
opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a
deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the
wilderness
and streams in the desert.
The
burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling
springs.
In the haunts where jackals once
lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will
grow.
And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of
Holiness.
The unclean will not journey on
it;
it will be for those who walk
in that Way;
wicked fools will not go about on
it.
No lion will be there,
nor will any ferocious beast get up
on it;
they will not be found
there.
But only the redeemed will
walk there,
and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their
heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake
them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee
away.

He’s still the Same

He’s still the same
He’s still the same
He’s still the same

He’s still the same God who created the earth
The very same One who ordained my birth

He’s still the same God that calmed the sea
The very same One who rescues me

He’s still the same God that flooded the land
The very same One who’s holding my hand

He’s still the same God who led Israel free
The very same One who upholds me

He’s still the same God who tore rivers apart
The very same One who’s near to my heart

He’s still the same God who was nailed on a tree
The very same One who’s death set me free

He’s still the same God who died on the cross
The very same One to whom our sins are lost

He’s still the same God who rose again
The very same One where our story’s begin

He’s still the same God when our trials come
The very same One with victory’s won

He’s still the same God whose love departed
The very same One who heals the broken hearted

He’s still the same God who draws us near
The very same One who be stills all my fears

He’s still the same God who shepherds His sheep
The very same One who upholds the meek

He’s still the same God in heaven will greet
The very same One I can’t wait to meet

He’s still the same
He’ll never change
He’s still the same
He’s still my God
